Kelimutu National Park

Taman Nasional Kelimutu in Ende, Flores islands, East Nusa Tenggara, consisting mountains landscape and Mount Kelibara height 1,731 meters (5.679 feet) as its highest peak, while Mount Kelimutu height 1,639 meters (5,377 feet) has three crater lakes on the peak known as Tiwu Kelimutu or Lake Three Colors.

Kelimutu National Park has three lakes named Lake Three Colors because it has three different colors are red, blue and white, although it is always changing. The three lakes approximately 1,051,000 square meters and volume of 1292 million cubic meters have limit in form of stone walls in narrow steep, 70-degree angle and height 50 meters to 150 meters.

Exotic lake atop Mount Kelimutu and has water color changing all the time. In mid-April 2015, the lake Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai changed from blue to white milk, Tiwu Ata Polo lake on the green turns to red and Tiwu Ata Mbupu lake from black turns green.

The color change is caused by mineral deposits, moss, rocks in the crater and sunlight. Scientists believe the lake was formed from volcanic eruptions in ancient times. The phenomenon to the attention of geologists because of the presence of different colored lakes located on the same mountain.

Kelimutu National Park is home to over 19 species of birds like punai flores (Treron floris), hantu wallacea (Otus silvicola) dan sikatan rimba-ayun (Rhinomyias oscillans) and kancilan flores (Pachycephala nudigula).

Also sepah kerdil (Pericrocotus lansbergei), tesia timor (Tesia everetti), opior jambul (Lophozosterops dohertyi), opior paruh tebal (Heleia crassirostris), cabai emas (Dicaeum annae), kehicap flores (Monarcha sacerdotum), burung madu matari (Nectarinia solaris) and elang Flores (Spizaetus floris).

The national park is also home to tikus gunung (Bunomys naso), banteng (Bos javanicus javanicus), kijang (Muntiacus muntjak nainggolani), luwak (Pardofelis marmorata), trenggiling (Manis javanica), landak (Hystrix brachyura brachyura) and kancil (Tragulus javanicus javanicus).

Timang Beach

Pantai Timang is coastal attraction forms the boundary between Java Island and Indian Ocean in Danggolo Sub-village, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul which has white sand. The beach is in a secluded area between Siung Beach and Sundak Beach where a coral island becomes a lobster habitat.



Timang Beach traveled using vehicle from Wonosari City for about 32 kilometers where the motorcycle is the best mode to facilitate travel. This beach is flanked by beaches on the coast of Tepus where the west including Seruni, Pok Tunggal and Ngetun, while in the east are Jogan, Siung, and Nglambor.

Odzala-Kokoua National Park

Odzala-Kokoua National Park or Odzala National Park is a conservation area of 13,500 sq kilometers (5,200 sq mi) at the Cuvette-Ouest Department, Republic of the Congo, declared a protected area in 1935, biosphere reserves in 1977, and national parks in the year 2001 at. Odzala-Kokoua has more than 100 species of mammals and as one of the most diverse primate populations in Africa.

Odzala-Kokoua is managed by the African Parks in collaboration with the Ministry of Forest Economy, Sustainable Development and Environment of the Republic of the Congo in 2010. The park has retained the old rainforests and terrain that vary from 350 meters (1,150 feet) to forest bushy and lots of glade.
