Wakatobi National Park

Taman Nasional Wakatobi is a group of islands, the island sandbar, beautiful atolls and amazing biodiversity of the archipelago Tukangbesi, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Four main islands is the island of Wangi-Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko lined the west side of the Banda Sea become a haven for diving and snorkeling.

Wakatobi declared a national park in 2002 with a total area of 13900 square kilometer save marine biodiversity and occupies one of the highest priority for marine conservation in the archipelago. Landscape waters have varied sea depths and the deepest part reaches 1,044 meters below sea level.

Wakatobi waters that are in the area "Coral Triangle" or the coral triangle region which has the highest marine biodiversity in the world. Pearls 25 clusters of coral reefs and the ideal depth for various types of marine life to produce an aesthetic value and high conservation.

Panoramic beauty of the 25 clusters of coral reefs store about 112 species from 13 families were scattered at 25 points along the 600 kilometers of coastline as Acropora formosa, Hyacinthus, Psammocora profundasafla, Pavona cactus, Leptoseris Yabei, Fungia molucensis, Lobophyllia robusta, Merulina ampliata, Platygyra versifora, Euphyllia glabrescens, Tubastraea frondes, Stylophora pistillata, Sarcophyton throchelliophorum and Sinularia spp.

The wealth of fish representing 93 species such as Argus bintik (Cephalopholus argus), Takhasang (Naso unicornis), Pogo-pogo (Balistoides viridescens), Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus), Red fish (Lutjanus biguttatus), Baronang (Siganus guttatus), Amphiprion melanopus, Chaetodon specullum, Chelmon rostratus, Heniochus acuminatus, Lutjanus monostigma and Caesio caerularea.

Three species of sea turtles are often landed on the islands of the national park is the hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), loggerhead (Caretta caretta) and Olive Ridley turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea). Wakatobi home for birds goose-brown stone (Sula leucogaster plotus), Cerek melayu (Charadrius peronii) and King prawns Erasia (Alcedo atthis).

Wakatobi National Park has very complete facilities. Kaledupa Resort in Pulau Hoga, Binongko Resort in Pulau Binongko and Tamia Resort is a very good accommodation, especially for diving, snorkeling, marine tours, swimming, camping, tourism and culture.

Wakatobi archipelago formed since the tertiary era until the end of the Miocene age as a result of geological processes in the form of a sliding faults that can not be separated from the workings of the tectonic style. A total of 39 islands, three charred and 5 atolls formed by the baseplate. Some beautiful atolls include Kaledupa Atoll, Kapota Atoll and Tomia Atoll.

Timang Beach

Pantai Timang is coastal attraction forms the boundary between Java Island and Indian Ocean in Danggolo Sub-village, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul which has white sand. The beach is in a secluded area between Siung Beach and Sundak Beach where a coral island becomes a lobster habitat.

Odzala-Kokoua National Park or Odzala National Park is a conservation area of 13,500 sq kilometers (5,200 sq mi) at the Cuvette-Ouest Department, Republic of the Congo, declared a protected area in 1935, biosphere reserves in 1977, and national parks in the year 2001 at.
