Jember Fashion Carnaval

Karnaval Busana Jember is a spectacular fashion carnival held every year in August for 4 days in Jember city, East Java, and attended by more than 2000 participants include the Kids Carnival, Artwear Carnival, Waci and Grand Carnival which runs along 3.6 kilometers run way in the center of Jember city.

Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) is one of the biggest annual fashion event to 4th in the world after Mardi Gras in the United States, Rio De Janeiro in Brazil and the Fastnacht in Germany. The event attended by more than 600 models with 2000 crew and watched hundreds of thousands visitors in the right and left of the run way. All clothing is made in form of costumes and competed to achieve JFC Awards.

Carnival is divided into 10 march and reflect the fashion trends in each category. The first procession is the Archipelago with the theme of fashion from certain areas in Indonesia such as Java, Bali, Madura, Dayak, Papua and Sumatra. Another fashion march theme is the trend of all countries in the world, ethnics, movies and other global events.

A fashion show is outdoors and is packaged in a carnival in which the participants had to design costumes, makeup and body. Participants also should be a model and demonstrate the fashion creations that weigh up to 10 kilograms in the streets along the 3.6 kilometers to dance according to the theme chosen.

The festival was initiated first by a fashion designer Dynand Fariz were amazed by the excitement of the dance group Reog Ponorogo traditional costumes peacock feathers beautiful and majestic crowding the Jember city highway. Reog Ponorogo procession on wearing festive costumes, bright colors, tassels and accompanied by traditional music.

JFC ultimately carnival featuring a fashion show performed by dance and theatrical movement. Run way to do along the way to give more aesthetic touches as a product-based performing arts fashion show, dance, theater, music and visual arts.

JFC has various supporting elements of the show was the theme and the story, characters, dance and music in the form of a marching band. All of these elements incorporated in a unified way the show is very unique and has specific style characteristics as the identity of the JFC.

Timang Beach

Pantai Timang is coastal attraction forms the boundary between Java Island and Indian Ocean in Danggolo Sub-village, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul which has white sand. The beach is in a secluded area between Siung Beach and Sundak Beach where a coral island becomes a lobster habitat.
