Baliem Valley Festival 2018 tour packages be booked right now

The Baliem Valley Festival tour packages are starting to be booked now. The Association of Travel Agency (Asita) Managers of Papua Province said that tourists have been able to book holiday packages to accommodate the annual fetival organized by tribes in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua, Indonesia.

Chairman of Asita Papua in Jayapura, Iwanta Parangin-Angin, said travel agents have started to sell travel packages to watch the festival where tourists generally schedule their holidays. This year's festival will be held on August 8-10.

"From now on we have already opened package tour for Baliem Valley Festival and already some of the ordering. Maximum we sell until March and after it is full," said Parangin-Angin.

Parangin-Angin said the package price for 5 days is Rp7 million (US$ 526) per person where the price is more expensive compared to last year. Jayawijaya regency government is also expected to be better prepared which has evaluated the festival in the previous year.

The Baliem Valley is a plateau where inter-tribal war events include Dani, Lani, and Yali as symbols of fertility and prosperity. A festival becomes an arena of inter-tribal forces and has lasted for generations but certainly safe for tourists.

Timang Beach

Pantai Timang is coastal attraction forms the boundary between Java Island and Indian Ocean in Danggolo Sub-village, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul which has white sand.
