Boracay island

Boracay Island is a small island about 2 km from the northwest tip of Panay Island in Aklan Province, Western Visayas Region, Philippines, which has beautiful coastlines in Manoc-Manoc, Balabag and Yapak. The island has a length of 7 kilometers, a land area of 10 sq kilometers and dog bone-shaped with the narrowest of only one kilometer wide and white sand beaches.

The south-facing Cagban beach is located in the small strait of the harbor dock in Caticlan on Panay island, and the Cagban port dock serves as Boracay's main entrance and exit throughout the year, while the east-facing Tambisaan Beach serves as an alternative point of entry and exit.

The other two main beaches of Boracay are White Beach and Bulabog Beach located on the opposite side of the island's narrow central area. White Beach faces west and Bulabog Beach faces east. The island also has several other beaches. In the middle is a path known as the Coastal Path that separates every beach.

At least three species inhabiting Boracay are golden flying fox giants (Aceradon jubatus), giant fruit bats (Pteropus vampyrus) and small flying foxes (Pteropus hypomelanus). All three are concentrated in Yapak where hunting is illegal behavior through local regulations.

Boracay is one of the places for the Asian Windsurfing Tour and Boracay International Funboard Cup for a week usually held in January at Bulabog Beach. Dragon boat races are held annually under the auspices of the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation around April or May followed by teams from all over the Philippines and other Asian countries.

Since 2013 The Boracay Open Asian Beach Ultimate Tournament is a major frisbee event with players coming from all over the Philippines and other International countries usually held from March to April. Timang Beach

Pantai Timang is coastal attraction forms the boundary between Java Island and Indian Ocean in Danggolo Sub-village, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul which has white sand. The beach is in a secluded area between Siung Beach and Sundak Beach where a coral island becomes a lobster habitat.
