Kelor Island

Kelor Island or Pulau Kelor is an uninhabited small island in Labuhan Bajo, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, where the land has steep hills, white sandy beaches and natural coral reefs. The travelers usually stop before heading to Komodo National Park, but often as a place to camp.

Kelor Island is an elongated island with a stretch of grass, a cone-shaped little hill with a slope of nearly 60 degrees in the center, and is surrounded by a soft white sandy sloping coastline. This uninhabited small island becomes a perfect place for camping like a private island.

Trekking 20 minutes through the path to the top of the hill in the middle of the island to present a panorama of blue skies, archipelago landscape, leaning ships and sea gradations. The island is usually a place to stop by Phinis boats that take travelers from Labuan Bajo to Komodo National Park.

Kelor Island is also famous for its underwater beauty where crystal clear waters, calm waves, and unspoiled coral reefs are a destination for snorkeling and free diving. At a depth of 2 meters is a stretch of reef and the fish are very diverse, including clownfish or nemo and parrot fish who like to bite.

Routes and public transport: Flights to Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo, then use a simple boat for an hour or speedboat for 30 minutes to Kelor Island.

Advice: Bring your own snorkel, fin, tent and food as there are no diving equipment rentals and food vendors on this deserted island. On the island of Kelor have to do trekking and climbing on sandy paths for beautiful scenery where the island is the hardest to climb and to go down.

Timang Beach

Pantai Timang is coastal attraction forms the boundary between Java Island and Indian Ocean in Danggolo Sub-village, Purwodadi Village, Tepus District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul which has white sand.
