Lake Ngade

Ngade Lake is a small lake in Ngade Village, Fitu Sub-District, Ternate City, North Maluku Province, Indonesia, as one of the few unique lakes in Ternate Island. A very dramatic landscape lies on the coast, but has fresh water so textbook is referred to as a lake rather than a lagoon.

Lake Ngade is one of several volcanic lakes on the island of Ternate in North Maluku. Ternate Island is a volcanic island which is formed entirely by Mount Gamalama in the middle of the island ddan famous as a producer of spices of the world.

This lake has a symmetrical ellipse shape and is surrounded by high cliffs dense by coconut trees, pandanus, banana and others. Climbing into the hills presents an iconic panorama where Mount Maitara on Maitara Island and Mount Tidore on Tidore Island are in line formation with Lake Ngade.

Green water in the lake becomes very contrast with the blue sea. Several springs on Mount Gamalama enter the lake and irrigate nearby plantations and are used to cultivate freshwater fish among lotus plants for cuisine in restaurants and resorts throughout the island.

Ternate Island is an island town with an area of 547 sq kilometers, a symmetrical cone shape, formed by volcanic and coral processes where Gamalama volcano (1.715 meters) in the center of the island. The people of Ternate live in the diversity of altitude and sea level between 0 meters to 700 meters.

Tidore Island is an island town with an area of 1,550 sq kilometers, an asymmetrical cone shape, formed by volcanic and coral processes where the Kie Matubu volcano or Kie Marijang or Tidore Mountain (1,730 meters) in the center of the island.

Maitara Island is a small island that has an area of 2,821 sq kilometers, a very symmetrical cone shaped and formed by volcanic and coral processes where the Maitara volcano (350 meters) in the center of the island. The island is located in the middle of Ternate and Tidore in formation in line with Lake Ngade.

Odzala-Kokoua National Park

Odzala-Kokoua National Park or Odzala National Park is a conservation area of 13,500 sq kilometers (5,200 sq mi) at the Cuvette-Ouest Department, Republic of the Congo, declared a protected area in 1935, biosphere reserves in 1977, and national parks in the year 2001 at. Timang Beach
